China World Peace Foundation Attends Peace and Sport Forum in Sochi

As a strategic partner of Peace and Sport Organization, China World Peace Foundation sent out a delegation led by Chairman Li Ruohong to attend the 6th Peace and Sport Forum held in Sochi, Russia from Oct 31st to Nov 1st. There are totally 300 participants including some sports ministers, Olympic Committee chairmen, representatives from international institutions like UN, press officers and Olympic champions from 90 countries. Prince Albert II of Monaco, President Gjorge Ivanov of Macedonia, Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin of Russia, President Bouzou of Peace and Sport Organization also jointed in this forum.
The forum discussed on five-year plan and shared the successful experience of promoting peace in areas of conflict through sports, popularizing Olympic spirits and improving people’s livelihood through education, and seeking support from commercial and media field by the involvement of governments and champions. On the closing ceremony, Peace and Sport Organization rewarded communities, groups and projects with contribution to its development.
China World Peace Foundation enforced the cooperation credibility and extended the project scopes through communication with some politicians and champions. Chairman Li Ruohong stated that, we have been deeply impressed by the beautiful mountains, famous seas, hospitality of Russian people and professional service provided by Peace and Sport Organization. China and other countries with close relationship with us should cooperate with Peace and Sport Organization to concern international hot issues, alleviate social contradictions, help poverty countries and disadvantaged groups, and promote cultural industry by developing brand strengths.
